The United States of America passed the bill against dog and cat meat consumption in 2018 thanks to WDA’s 5-year efforts.
In March 2024 it passed the Appropriations Bill 2024, which included a clause about International Agreement to Prohibit the Eating of Dogs and Cats championed by WDA. WDA is now pushing forward with US congressmen and Department of State to establish the International Agreement to Prohibit the Eating of Dogs and Cats.
